Mmm... raw fish.

February 22: So this day, some friends of mine taugh me how to make sushi! I had never eaten it, and was a little nervous about the idea of eating raw fish... but it all worked out okay!
I met Johannes at the grocery store to see everything we needed to get to make it. Unfortunately, we screwed up a bit. We didn't get the right kind of vinegar, and got too much of EVERYTHING.

Not only that, but once we started cooking, I guess he burned the rice a bit. It wasn't too big of a deal though, because the end product was pretty good. Anyway, the next step was to cut up all of the vegetables and fish into tiny pieces for to make the rolls. We each took a turn rolling, and when we were finished, sat down to eat it. We tried to cut them into nice little rolls, but none of the knives were sharp enough, so we each had one giant, uncut sushi roll. It looked kind of funny, but tasted pretty good dipped in soy sauce and wasabi!
